President's Letter
Spring 2025

Dear Classmate,

I hope this note finds you well.

For those of you not able to attend our growing ‘67th Day commemoration, this year with Bill Bradley, it is available on the class website.  Bill was a huge hit, and we had close to 100 participants (largest in several years).  For future webinars, we are planning another session on China policy, and a session on the development of fusion power.  Your suggestions are always welcome.

Our next “mega-mini” reunion is targeted for Spring ’26 in Silicon Valley (CA), adding a West Coast geographical distribution to the location of our class gatherings.  Princeton has a wide range of connections in the Valley which we will tap.  Exploring the history of computing, a cadre of highly regarded speakers and the proximity to the Bay area, the event promises to be an interesting and unique opportunity to engage with classmates.  Dave Martin leads an experienced planning team.  We will seek your feedback on interest as the details evolve shortly.

As most of us enter our ninth decade (congratulations!) it also engenders a reflection on the classmates (187) that have left us.  While Memorials appear in PAW, they are posted much more quickly on our class website (Princeton Class of 1967.com) and the website affords a way for all of us to write our reflections and remembrances.  To augment the great work Jim Kempf does, we are working to enhance this important element of our communications.

Finally, recently Chris Eisgruber wrote an article (attached) reflecting on academic freedom.  If you’re interested, we can launch a discussion group to explore the factors leading up to the article.

Holiday Letter 2024

I hope this letter finds you and your family in good health and spirits.

A quick note to wish you and your family a warm and wonderful holiday period and a healthy and happy New Year.

Reflecting on 2024, it was an active year for the class:

  • Our webinar series continues to engage classmates.  In fact, over 50 spouses requested and received webinar invitations.
  • The Library of Remembrance, containing essays by 84 classmates reflecting on their military (and other) activities post-graduation, was distributed.
  • The Washington mini-reunion was the best ever.  The 94 participants enjoyed two full days of events and interaction (see photo below).
